Regular Events
On the first Saturday of each month a Coffee Morning is held from 11am to 12 noon when visitors are welcomed and a Bring-and-Buy sale includes homegrown and home-cooked produce.
A lottery is organised annually and two winners are drawn at the Coffee Morning each month.
Games evenings are held on Fridays when pool and table tennis are played.
The committee organises two/three events a year, in collaboration with 'Villages in Action' when the hall is usually booked to capacity to be entertained with music, comedy and theatre.
An annual general meeting is held in the month of July when all residents are encouraged to join the committee and to suggest ideas for village events in the coming year.
A member of the community organises evening walks on Dartmoor, suitable for all the family on summer evenings, ending with supper at the nearest pub to the walk.
Bonfire Night in November attracts many people to Clearbrook to watch the large bonfire and fireworks on land opposite the hall. Soup, pasties and mulled wine are served after the fireworks display.
Two weeks before Christmas a traditional Christmas lunch is cooked, served and eaten by members of the community who are able to attend.
During the week before Christmas, villagers sing Christmas Carols outside all the houses, entering some before ending up at the Skylark Inn, collecting funds for a local charity. The community possesses a fine set of handbells and the village team perform in the hall at Christmas.
